Students spell their way to league Spelling Bee

Do you know how to spell porcine? Maize South Middle School students proved they do.

The Maize South Middle School Spelling Bee was held on Jan. 7, with approximately 33 students participating. Ten students qualified to represent our school at the league Spelling Bee, which took place on Jan. 13 at Salina South Middle School.

Eighth grader Griffin Everhart earned first place at the league competition, bringing home the championship for the Mavs.

Congratulations to all of our students who qualified for and competed in the league Spelling Bee!
